Well well. I was doing my groceries when I suddenly laid my eyes on a nice piece of mango at a very good price, so I told myself “let’s do something out of it and try new stuff”. I had previously tasted mango, but I remember not being especially fond of it and preferring papaya in lieu, which I found more appealing to my sweet tooth. But sometimes your taste evolves and you find yourself surprisingly enjoying foods for which you didn’t feel that attraction earlier. I’m glad I was mistaken about mango, because oh boy, where have you been all my life?
While at first I was a bit sceptical on how to put it at a good use in the kitchen —other than just simply eat the fruit— with a little bit of imagination and some Internet research, I realized that in fact, mango is a very versatile fruit.
As summer is approaching and temperatures are rising quickly, I came out with this delicious smoothie.
Funny note: I consider mango to be an “exotic” fruit and I kind of associate it with summer and dreamy destinations, so this mango smoothie really put me in a very good mood — I’m currently craving about holidays somewhere far away, in a beautiful tropical island or something like that, so while I was sipping it, I just needed to close my eyes and picture myself there *insert your dreamy destination here*. (A girl can dream, right?)

Mango Smoothie Recipe
Recipe note: As you might have noticed, I haven’t specified any quantity. The reason why is very simple: I just went with the flow and guesstimate. Being this such a simple recipe, there is no way you could be wrong with the ingredients, just adapt it to your personal taste and flavour liking. Are you spearmint enthusiast? Then add a good bunch of leaves. Perhaps you don’t fancy celery? Just add a little of it (or maybe just skip it, thought I found celery adds a nice touch in flavour).
