Have you ever wonder how does it feel following a road that goes through the mountains and up and down the valleys? The AP-66 motorway (colloquially called Huerna motorway) will lead you into a paradise. A dream made of velvety greens, luxury blues and soft clouds caressing the peaks. Come along and enjoy the views. The viewOn my recent trip to northern Spain I had the opportunity to indulge myself in oustanding sights beyond believe. Ditch that idea on Spain being a summer and beach destination all year round. There's a piece of land called "Green Spain" which literally lives up to its name. This piece of paradise is compound by the northern autonomous community of Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria and and the northern half of the Basque Country. Frequent rains and a mild temperature provided by the Atlantic Ocean could make you think of Ireland, UK or the west coast of France type of landscape, yet you are still in Spain. Though I enjoy a drive through the great outdoors, this time I was happy that I didn't have to do so, as this way I was able to look through the window, grab my camera and enjoy those amazing views. |
